long long day...

man, it's been a long one.
it started early before class... i didn't get home till 11:30pm. that's the latest i've been out in a long, long time. yes, i know, i need to get out more.

after class, headed over to the 'rents for lunch... then pottered over to a bike store (not the usual one, another one where kale got his fixed-speed) to pass something to a friend who just bought a really cool coffee-colored bike. then the 'rents and us went down to john little's to check out the baby stuff they have in anticipation of the 20% sale this coming week.

basically we saw some playpens that were pretty handy. problem is they don't look very sturdy.. and we needed to do some market research, so after we left john little's, we headed back to the grocery store and then went on our "market study".

visited mothercare and toys'r'us to check out the playpen. turns out that the ones with the reputable brands (i.e. graco, mothercare, etc) are at least double of those in john little (which i think are china made). we're trying to figure out the reason for the price differential and if there's any compromises in the area of safety. so we'll have to mull over that for a bit.

then met dawn, van and lionel for coffee at parkway and yakked till late. haven't seen em for the longest time. was nice just chilling and yakking about ppl and things. heh.

more to blog about, but it's late, and we're both sleepy... so bed is calling.

the husband agrees.. he says it's all about putting it in context. guess the comparison to the hardware store suddenly makes shopping for baby stuff that much more palatable. hah.
