where did today go???

my goodness, today went by in a whirrr..... (i did that last couple of "..." cos i have no clue how many "r"s are in a whirrrr...) hmm.

it's now officially past my knock-off time, and i'm proud to say that i've been productive ALL day long. that's amazing. usually, i need some downtime to recover and focus (who doesn't, right?) but today has just been report after report after report! phew.

i'm glad that i'm semi-good at writing.. i don't take too long to knock out reports, and so i'm pretty efficient at this kind of thing. thank goodness

waiting for dinner now. supposed to go for dinner with my group. but i think that people are getting delayed (surprise, surprise). promised the hubby i'd not be home too late, since i've been away all last week... so we'll see. if we don't get moving soon, i may have to bail early. i'm also in a homebody kinda mood. i just wanna go home, take a hot shower, curl up in a ball with the hubby on the couch and watch crap tv that's always on on monday. mmm. sounds heavenly.

coming home after a trip made me realise how much i take life at home for granted. i really missed being home with the hubby. i didn't realise it at first, but i guess i never really got a good night's sleep while i was away, even though i was physically tired each and every night. i woke up every morning before my alarm went off. the past 2 nites, however, i've slept very soundly. think it has to do with me feeling safe and snug. hotel rooms just tend to be very impersonal and cold, despite being lush and all...

i'm glad i'm home. i'm glad i have someone to come home to. thank you, God for allowing me this.. and please let me remember how lucky i am when i'm down in the dumps!!
