day 2...

Man, so this is what it's like to be on a biz trip. Today was pretty crazy.. meeting after meeting interspersed by maniacal driving in crazy traffic. At one point, we were stuck in the middle of a road in a literal deadlock. About 5 cars were pointing towards each other and none could move unless 1 backed up. Took a passer-by to sort stuff out by turning impromptu traffic police.

There was a Walmart in the building where one of our meetings was.. and there was a Nike store in there too.. managed to score a polo shirt for the hubby so that was good.. didn't really have time to shop since we had to head off for our next meeting!

Came back and went out for dinner with the rest of the group. Had a really good dinner around the corner. Peking duck, steamed fish, omelette, chicken wings, tofu and asparagus. Mmm.. only problem is my stomach is giving me problems - all bloated and a little queasy. Hope this isn't the first sign of food poisoning! Hoping it's just that my eating schedule has been a little out of whack!

Came back, knocked out my reports and then we headed out to the mall downstairs.. it's a very nice mall, but rather upmarket. Nothing's very cheap though... so I didn't get anything. One of our meetings got cancelled tomorrow so I'm hoping to hit a mall further out from here at some point tomorrow. You can take the girl out of singapore but you can't take the singaporean out of the girl! haha.

My parents just made it home not too long ago.. they had to stay a nite in Tokyo cos the typhoon forced all the flights to be cancelled yesterday. From what I hear it was pretty traumatic, so I think they're glad to be back.

Ok lah, time to log off... have to say that blogging helps take your mind off of things and helps pass the time when you're alone...
