part deux

today was a blissful day of playing wife (and sister, i guess). picked up the car, went to the grocery store, picked up the bare essentials, picked up the husband from work for lunch, and then headed out to run more errands in the afternoon. picked my sis up from school and dropped her home and then came back and CRASHED.

barely woke up in time to pick kale up from work! he was supposed to go for a short ride to get back in the saddle at least once before this sunday's race, but he was too pooped to do that so we both crashed and woke up too late for dinner. i was supposed to head home for dinner with my grandma and my sis but i was in no condition to drive home.. so i regretfully bailed out.

anyhow, to complete my story on the week leading up to the wedding... the men took kale out for a bachelor lunch on friday while i was out with the girls getting my nails done, which i later found out involved elvis glasses, a mullet, a wifebeater and Hooters.. hmm... have seen SOME pictures from the morning, but kale was sporting enough to model the outfit for me after the fact.

meanwhile, julie, dawn and i were shopping up a storm along King St... great bargains.. damn, wish the US $ wasn't quite so strong.. sigh. makes you realise how broke you are once you convert everything!

we headed back to the house to get ready for the rehearsal, and that in itself was a fiasco since dawn had brought no "fancy" clothes (think tees and jeans only).. so it was a good thing we were all the same size... believe her outfit was made up of her tanktop (purchased that day from trusty GAP), my mom's skirt, my cardigan and my newly purchase GAP slippers.. and man oh man did she look pulled together! =)

will leave the rehearsal dinner and the wedding for a whole other blog.. think they deserve their own blog.. =) going to hit the sack and attempt to readjust my body clock to local timing. big day tomorrow.. have absolutely NOTHING planed.. oh, save salsa class tomorrow evening... phew!
