Evening of pampering

T'was a great day! Had my hen "nite" today. But lest you think it was a night of booze and debauchery, my dear friends had something better (and far more tame) in store.

We met in Borders (where Dawn tried to convince me that we were going "book-shopping") and when the whole posse had congregated, we headed upstairs in the building for the beginning of the festivities.

Turns out my darling friends Dawn and Vanessa had come up with the idea of a day of pampering. Vanessa and Dawn, being the ever well-connected journalists that they are, had made reservations at the Clarins Institute (yes, the same place where Mizz Andrea de Cruz of Slim 10 fame had her hen party).

So we were treated to a private lounge with a juice bar and anti-caffeinated tea (whatever that is), brownies and carrot cake.. mmm. Oh yah, and mooncakes since it IS the mooncake season.

We were all then given the grand tour and then had our lovely facials. Was so soothing I even fell asleep during it, a first for me!

After pampering our faces, was time to go eat. Went to Pete's Place in Hyatt where we rounded off dinner with a to-die-for tiramisu and chocolate fondue.. mmm. Was nice to just sit and have a chat with the girls. Overall, a great evening, and something to remember! =)
