surprises - the good and the bad

the hubby msged at about 3 today to say that he managed to get an earlier flight back so i rushed off to the airport to go get him after my haircut. had dinner at the airport before heading home...
that was the good surprise.

walked in the door of our apartment - bad surprise. the water heater pressure relief valve was spewing water... and since it's late, there's no way it's going to get fixed tonight so it's a cold shower for both of us tonight. bleah. try and get someone to come fix it tomorrow. thank goodness we're on leave tomorrow. but somehow, being on leave to get the water heater fixed simply wasn't what i had in mind.

but there's always a silver lining.. at least the hubby was home to climb up and turn the water heater pipe off.. the pregnant me was sooo not going to climb up on that precarious stool. =)
