duh...
So I had lunch with my colleagues and were tossing around some chinese names. Their Chinese is much better than mine so was trying to get their opinions on meanings of names, etc.
The conversation soon degenerated into coming up with odd names that have double meanings. Here are a couple...
- Su-lian: Firstly, can easily be turned into ah-lian. Secondly, Su-lian is Russia in Chinese
- Su-jiao: Rubber/latex in Chinese
- Su-jia: Loser!!!
- Su-shi: Need I say more? Raw fish anyone?
- Su-ruan: Fallopian tubes.. eeps.
And there were tons more. I think su-shi takes the cake though! It's a good thing we had the conversation.. some of those didn't even occur to me!!
Especially not the fallopian tube one.. geez!
