technical difficulties

so, if you've been wondering why it's been so quiet on this blog lately... one easy answer. our home computer crashed. on the same day that we found out our dvd player wouldn't turn on. yup. there are gremlins in our house who like messing around with electronic equipment.

anyhow, kale's working on trying to recover our data (most importantly ALL our photos which we don't have back-ups of) and then we'll try to get the computer back online. we're getting international help from my cousin in singapore, tyson and patrick in buffalo. yup. so hopefully we'll be able to save everything.

have lugged my laptop back from office for the interim.. so we still have internet access, just kinda sporadic, is all.

enjoying a rainy evening from the comfort of our house - respledent with our new couch from ikea - it's great to be able to stretch out. our house is coming together bit by bit. problem is that by the time we get everything set up just the way we want it, we'll probably be just about to move. hah.

ok, going to go take a shower and enjoy the evening...we just got back from dinner with kale's friends.. and it was a great dinner with far too much food. but it's just nice to be back at home, the two of us, in OUR home.. with our new couch! =) we really haven't taken the time to just sit and savour our new place. so i think we'll start tonite.yup.
